Boot Camp is a tool that enables the Macintosh users to install Windows OS. To create a Windows based partition on Mac hard disk, a tool named 'Boot Camp Assistant' is used. A new drive partition is created. The utility includes all the drivers for Windows, which helps the Mac user to use Mac's bluetooth, built-in graphics, AirPort, USB, Ethernet, and audio.
Once the partitions are created,the Mac user can easily switch by holding the Alt key during the startup. This tool is available in Mac OS X 10.5 and later versions. the process of creating partitions using Mac Boot Camp utility is an easy task, the process might result in complete data loss in following circumstances:
1) Mac hard disk is already corrupted.
2) OS installation fails.
3) Insufficient Mac disk space.
4) Connected with external hard disk.
5) Turned on sharing options.
