Data loss in mac machine due to gray scale problem

Computer problem are very common and may occur with any operating system, even to the most efficient and stable operating system- Mac OS X. When you boot your Mac OS X operating system based computer, generally it opens a login window where you need to enter your credentials to access the system. However, in some cases, the startup process may fail  with gray screen and you can not access your valuable data from hard drive. It can lead to data loss and put you in need of Mac data recovery solutions.

As a practical instance of this behavior of Mac OS X operating system, you may encounter any of the following problems while booting your system-
Gray blank screen that does not end and show any error message.

  • System freezes with Apple logo.
  • Spinning wheel of death.
  • Flashing question mark or a folder with exclamatory symbol.
After this behavior of Mac OS X operating system, boot process fails and you cannot access your valuable data from the disk.

Root cause

You may run across this behavior of Mac OS X operating system due to any of the following reasons-

A ) Faulty PRAM/NVRAM

B)  Damaged startup volume structure and permissions

C)  Faulty network cables and peripheral devices

D)  Corrupt system files and data structures

E)  File system corruption

How to fix gray screen in Mac?
To perform data recovery Mac in such situations, use any of the below methods-

1) Disconnect all network cables and peripheral devices and then connect them back one by one. After connecting each device or cable check whether the problem reoccurs or not.

2) Boot your system in safe mode. It is a special troubleshooting mode of Macintosh operating system.

3) Reset PRAM/NVRAM.

4) Repair Mac OS X hard drive and file system using Disk Utility. It is an inbuilt tool of Mac OS X operating system that checks and fixes hard drive and file system inconsistency issues.

5) Remove third-party hardware and RAM.

TDM Error and Mac data recovery

Apart from the normal boot mode, in the Mac systems, there is another special boot mode called 'TDM' or 'Target Disk Mode'. The Mac systems, which have been started in the TDM boot mode, behaves as FireWire drives. The Macintosh system started in TDM mode, does not boot and can get attached to any FireWire port of any other system with the options for formatting, partitioning or transfer of files. However, if you try to mount the disk that has been started in TDM mode, it fails to boot and the data in the drive becomes completely inaccessible. In such a situation of data loss or inaccessibility, you have to opt for any Mac recovery software to recover and restore your valuable data from the troubled Mac drive.

In the above instance of data inaccessibility, when the Mac drive fails to mount, you may encounter an error message, which can be read as below:
“You have inserted a disk containing no volumes that Mac OS X can read”
The error dialog box that you receive may contain three options, such as Initialize, Ignore and Eject, among which you must either opt for the option Eject or Ignore to close the error dialog box.

Cause:
The reason can be pretty simple that the drive must have been formatted in a non-Mac format, including any FAT or NTFS file system type. The Mac OS X can not be able to recognize the disk drives, which has been started under TDM mode and formatted with NTFS or FAT32 file systems.

Resolution:

In order to resolve the above case, you need to format the hard drive in a Mac Os X supported file system. You have to connect the drive to any Intel-based Macintosh system and format using the Disk Utility.

However, with formatting and a fresh installation of the operating system, all your data from the drive will be lost and you have to restore them back from a valid backup. If you do not have any valid backup or failed to restore from the backup due to any unresolved issue, then, the only option, which can help you recover back your seemingly lost data is to run any Mac recovery utility.

Mac data recovery in case of error in permission settings

It happens some times that While using your Mac machine, due to any incorrect setting in file system permissions or privileges, the system hangs up specially during  boot process. Your valuable data in the system hard disk becomes inaccessible thereof.  The only way to recover back the data is to take the help of professional Mac data recovery utilities.

Let us suppose one of the most common of the instances. One day while working on your Mac machine, there was a severe power fluctuation and the system shut down suddenly. The next time, when you tried to boot the system, it stuck in the middle with the Grey Mac spinning icon. Furthermore, each time, you tried to start the system, you got the same result with all your data in the system inaccessible.

Cause:
Many times, a sudden power failure and unsystematic shutting down of the Mac system leads to file system damage and a possibly affects permissions settings.

Resolution:
In the beginning, it is difficult to locate such type of error and hence, equally difficult to resolve. However, it is advised to run the Disk Utility or fsck command.

A)   Try to boot the machine in safe mode:--The first thing is to do is to try booting the Mac machine in safe mode by pressing the shift key at the start-up. If you are able to start the system in safe mode, you do not need any further trouble shooting. However if you fail, follow the steps below:

B).    Run the Disk Utility: Try starting your Mac OS X from the installation disc by holding the key 'C' while restarting.

C).    Select the Disk Utility from the menu and click on the tab 'First Aid'.

D).    Choose the troubled Mac OS X volume and click on the button 'Repair'.

E).    If after the repair process, the problem still persists, then try running 'fsck' command.

F).    Run 'fsck' command: Type /sbin/fsck -fy  at the command prompt.

G).    If the error still persists, then you have to make a fresh installation of the Mac OS X after formatting.

However, formatting will erase all your data from the drive and you need to take the help of a valid backup to recover your data from the formatted disk. If you don't have backup of your data, then, the only option is to run a Mac data recovery software to recover and restore the data.

How to recover mac data in case of accidental deletion

Apple gave a new dimension to Mac OS by adding the utility 'Finder'. Mac systems are appreciated for their cutting-edge technology and efficiency. The Finder added another feather to it in terms of interactive GUI. Finder organizes almost everything on a Mac system and is used as the default file manager. Hence, from creation of a file to its deletion, we have to interact with the Finder. However, sometimes while deleting or even just dragging a file to the thrash, Finder doesn't ask for confirmation and immediately deletes the file. Be it an accidental deletion or a predetermined one, the above situation leads to data loss and you have to look around for a good Mac data recovery software.

The Problem:
You deleted a folder and suddenly you got a second thought that the folder had one important office document. You were less stressed, as you had a notion that the folder must had been in the thrash. However, to your utter dismay, the folder was not there in the thrash and it seemed to be permanently deleted from the PC. As you badly need the deleted document, such situation demands a try with a Mac file recovery utility to bring back the lost data.

Cause behind the Problem:
In general, the cause behind the problem is that the particular folder, you deleted was too big in size and there is no Time Machine running on the system. However, the reason may be either the Finder has been set, not to warn before or the Finder file has been corrupted.

Resolution:
This situation has no other solution except to restore your data from the updated backup. In case, backup of your data is not available or occurrence of any error has prevented the backup to restore the data, the situation gets really worth worrying. However, with the help of any available Mac recovery software, you can try recovering the deleted data.

These Mac  recovery utilities have inbuilt algorithms that search the data with  advanced techniques and recover all your lost or inaccessible data with ease. More over, powerful Mac file recovery utilities don't even require much technical knowledge and their operation is smoother than you have ever imagined.

Mac Data Loss and Mac Recovery Solutions

If you buy a Macintosh computer, you know that its hard drive is not prone to crash or failure. The disk may get damaged at any point and you come across serious data loss situations. The hard disk corruption happens generally due to file system damage, system failure or virus infection. To solve this issue of data loss, you need to approach a reliable and effective Mac File Recovery Software.

It is Virtually impossible to say that the hard disk is quiet protected from failure or crash, but what you can do is that you can protect your valuable data by creating backup. A hard disk is the most important component of a Mac computer that is used to store application software and system Files. The hard disk errors are bound to occur at some point of time.

The system crash happens due to the following reasons

1) virus infection

2) file system corruption

3) operating system malfunction

4) hard drive formatting

During data loss situations only the file system reference of the file is deleted. The data remains physically present in the hard disk. OS can not locate the stored files as the file pointer from the file system table is deleted.

In these case if you have an updated backup in place, you can easily restore data from it. Backup is best solution to safeguard your data and prevent needs Mac data recovery Softwares. Mac System offers an in-built tool for quick and Easy backup Operation, known as Time Machine. In case if the backup is not updated or not available,or the back up is damaged, critical data Loss situations arise.

In all such cases, Mac File Recovery tool is required. The Mac Recovery Software have high efficient scanning algorithm to scan damaged hard disk and retrieve all the lost data from it.
